A cenote (from the Mayan "dzonot", sacred well) is a natural sinkhole formed by the collapse of limestone bedrock, exposing an underground freshwater table. There are thousands of them across the Yucatán. Sacred to the ancient Maya, they were considered gateways to the underworld.

What should I bring for the excursion?+
Bring a swimsuit, a towel, sandals and biodegradable sunscreen (mandatory to protect the cenotes). We provide the snorkeling equipment. A change of clothes is recommended for the return trip.
How many cenotes do we visit during the excursion?+
We usually visit two cenotes with different atmospheres: a sunlit open-air cenote and a cavern cenote adorned with stalactites. The choice of sites may vary depending on conditions and season to guarantee you the best experience.
